Community House

The Forgotten House serves not only as a residence for the employees at Forgotten but also as a sort of community center. All of the Karen families are welcome to come to the Forgotten House at any time. At the house there is a children’s playground area in the back yard and a covered porch area in the front where the families have access to television. The Karen people, much like people of just about any culture, enjoy watching television shows and keeping up with the news and the times, so having access to a television for both relaxation and educational purposes is very important to them.

The Forgotten House also serves as kind of an orphanage for any children in great need. There are currently 4 young girls living at the house. These girls are either orphaned or have been stranded by their parents. Pastor Manat, Pastor Steven and Wii-Pah have therefore made it their responsibility to care for the girls and to include them in all the activities taking place. The Forgotten Foundation is not only here to teach the people about the love of Christ, but it is also here to be a living example and to walk in his footsteps.
