We have been working in Thailand with Karen refugees from Burma since January 2008. We operate out of Albuquerque, NM and in a undisclosed location along the Thailand / Burma border. The Karen are oppressed by soldiers and officials of the State Peace & Development Council (SPDC), Burma’s ruling military junta. These people are being forced out of their own country and constantly face slavery, kidnapping, destruction of their homes, villages and crops, extortion, vandalism, torture, sexual assault and executions.
Forgotten Foundation provides a place of refuge and security in Thailand, presents the Gospel, provides means of sustainability, education, medical care and immediate relief.
GLOBAL MISSION: Present the Gospel of Jesus Christ, Disciple & Love. Combine the assets and skills of the community with ours, to work together for development and sustainability. Take care of orphans, widows, the poor and homeless.
Awareness & Fund-Raising Mission: Present Forgotten’s Mission, the Karen genocide in Myanmar (Burma), and our Thailand project. Sell clothing and hand made products. Create partnerships.
For the poor will never cease from the land; therefore I command you, saying, you shall open your hand wide to your brother, to the poor and needy in your land. Deuteronomy 15:11
